I have worked on many successful campaigns for a wide range of industries. My skills involve creating and implementing creative branding, marketing, and business development strategies for complex products and organizations. With nearly 11 years in design and marketing my work has included projects including accounts such as Schwinn Cycling and Fitness, Bowflex, Nautilus, StairMaster, Hewlett Packard, First National Bank, WINhealth Partners, Cenex, IntaJuice and Eheart Interior Solutions.
My focus and passion for project identity, strategy and process-based visual solutions has led me to initiate the Lulofs Design and Art Direction Studio. Everything I make is with focus and passion. That is what makes design exciting for me. I consider every aspect, every choice is made with intent and respect for the result.
Most recently I was Art Director for Burns Marketing Communications. As Art Director I was responsible for the quality of brand pitches and creative campaigns. While at BMC I successfully completed numerous projects solving a wide range of communication challenges to satisfy client expectations. Developed distinctive brand identities through advertising campaigns, packaging, collateral, and retail programs while dealing with the day-to-day turnaround of creative work. Ensuring projects were produced on time, on budget and to the highest possible standard.
Previous to working for Burns, I was hired as Graphic Designer for Schwinn Cycling in Boulder, Colorado. At Schwinn Cycling I was responsible for a large range of projects including catalogs, owners manuals, advertisements, product graphics and packaging.
In 2001, I was promoted to Creative Services Manager in conjunction with The Nautilus Group purchase of Schwinn GT Corporation fitness division. While in this position, I worked with Marketing and Product Development to create design protocols that supported key business objectives including the execution of a highly successful marketing approach, attracting customers through an effective combination of strong brand names, varied communication vehicles, and changing channels of distribution and integrated B2B customer relationship systems.
Ultimately Nautilus was purchased by Bowflex where my key responsibilities changed to include my integration with the industrial design team and development of design solutions. These design solutions involved project coordination and execution of marketing materials for Nautilus specialty retail client Costco. My new position within the Nautilus industrial design team also best took advantage of my ability to establish a concise visual language and aid in the development of new products including creating aspects of form, aesthetics, physical and psychological interfaces between users and products.
